Human Rights Commission <br />Human Rights Commission Meeting Minutes <br />November 28, 2012 <br />Commissioners: Scot Becker, Jill Brisbois, Kristin Doneen, Chair Gary <br />Grefenberg, Wayne Groff, Vice Chair David Singleton and <br />Kayi ng Thao <br />Youth Commissioner: Joan Dao, Julia Laden and Marie Siliciano <br />Staff: Carolyn Curti and City Manager Bill Malinen <br />Others Present: Megan Dushin, Kathy Ramundt, and Greg Simbeck, <br />members of the Neighborhood & Community Engagement <br />Task Force of the Human Rights Commission <br />Call to Order <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Chair Gary Grefenberg requested the members introduce themselves to the new <br />members. <br />Approve Agenda <br />Commissioner Jill Brisbois moved and Commissioner Thao seconded a motion to <br />approve the agenda as distributed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Swearing in of Commissioner Scot Becker and Youth Commissioner Julia <br />Laden <br />Chair Grefenberg swore in Commissioner Scot Becker and Youth Commissioner Julia <br />Laden. The Commission offered a round of applause and welcomed them to the <br />H RC. <br />Approve Minutes <br />Commissioner Wayne Groff moved and Commissioner Brisbois seconded a motion to <br />approve the October 17, 2012 meeting minutes as corrected and distributed. Motion <br />passed on a 6 -0 -1 vote with Commissioner Becker abstaining, <br />Public Comment <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Commission on an items not on <br />the agenda, the chair moved to the next agenda item. <br />Chair, Committee and Task Force Reports <br />Chair's Report <br />Chair Grefenberg reported on his recent meeting with the Gay /Straight Alliance at <br />the Roseville High School two weeks ago. He said he was impressed with the <br />students present and their commitment to the passing of the recent marriage <br />amendment. <br />
