October 11, 2010
James Anderson
3085 Marion Street
Roseville, MN 55113
js

RE: Administrative Deviation approval
Dear Mr. Anderson,
.-.
As you know, your Administrative Deviation request to accommodate your proposed driveway
expansion and new detached garage was reviewed last week at City Hall.
Members of the review committee have indicated to me that the proposal will .not have any
adverse impacts on the factors identified for consideration in Section 1013.05 of the City Code as
long as the excess storm water is mitigated according to your rain garden plan prepared by
Ramsey Conservation District staff, and consequently recommended approval of the
Administrative Deviation allowing the proposed driveway expansion and new detached garage
which would result in more impervious coverage than the City Code typically allows on a
residential property and a driveway as close as 2 feet to the side property line.
I concur with the committee's recommendation and have approved the requested Administrative
Deviation. Your builder may apply for the building permit at any time, but the permit may not be
issued until noon on October 18 or until Planning Division staff is contacted by all of the
neighboring property owners, whichever comes first. Should you have any questions or
comments, please do not hesitate to call me at 651-792-7071.
Sincerely,
CITY OF ROSEVILLE
Patrick Trudgeon
Community Development Director
copy: Gerry Proulx
City of Roseville Community Development Department
2660 Civic Center Drive •: Roseville, Minnesota 55113
651-792-7005 ❖ www.ci.rosevillemn.us/development
