<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OFTHE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of November, <br />1999, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, Wiski and Wall <br /> <br />and the following were absent: Maschka. <br /> <br />Member Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9707 <br />Resolution Adopting Fire Relief Benefits <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the laws of the State of Minnesota, the City <br />Council is required to approve pension and other benefit increases and <br />the funding thereof before the Roseville Fire Relief Association may <br />implement a change; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has previously approved the following amendment to the bylaws <br />of the Roseville Firefighter's Relief Association, dated June 22, 1998, by <br />Ordinance 1126, adopted 6-14-93 and subsequently repealed by <br />Ordinance 1231, adopted November 8, 1999. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, that the Council adopts and approves the following pension <br />and benefit rates pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 424A.02, <br />providing for the following benefits: <br /> <br />A. Service pension amount payable per month for each year - twenty three <br />dollars ($23.00). <br />B. Lump-sum service pension amount payable for each year of service - two <br />thousand three hundred dollars ($2,300.00). <br />C. Funeral benefits for death not in the line of duty - seven hundred fifty <br />dollars ($750.00) for each year of service. <br />D. Temporary disability benefits in line of duty - ten dollars ($10.00) per <br />day. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Goedeke, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mastel, Goedeke, Wi ski and Wall, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
