<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of <br />the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the <br />City Hall on Monday, the 2nd day of October, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present:Goedeke, Maschka, Wiski, Mastel, Kysylczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.9818 <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR THE <br />LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, Minnesota, is a participant in the Livable <br />Communities Act's Housing Incentives Program for 2000 as determined by the <br />Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for funds under the <br />Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City, in partnership with the City of Shoreview has identified a <br />proposed project for predevelopment planning funds, within the City of Roseville and <br />the City of Shoreview and referred to as "Lexington Village", that meets the <br />Demonstration Account's purposes and criteria; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to <br />ensure adequate project administration; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and <br />regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota agrees to <br />partner with the City of Shoreview and act as partial legal sponsor for projects <br />contained in the Demonstration Account application submitted on September 22, 2000; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized to apply in partnership with the City of Shoreview to the Metropolitan <br />Council for predevelopment funding on behalf of the City of Roseville as a requirement <br />of submitting a grant application and to execute such agreements as are necessary to <br />
