<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of July 2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Kysylyczyn, Klausing, and Goedeke <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9907 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM SECTION 1004.01A7 AND A THREE <br />FOOT VARIANCE FROM SECTION 1004.01AIO OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2468 HAMLINE AVENUE (PF 3320) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Douglas Root has requested a variance from Section 1004.01A7 (Location) and <br />section 1004.01al0 (Height) of the Roseville City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Roots property is located at 2468 Hamline Avenue and legally described at <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 3, Block 2, Horvath Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota (PIn # 102923130031) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A7 (Location) does not allow construction of an accessory <br />structure in a front and Section 1004.01AlO (Height) requires detached accessory buildings to be <br />constructed to a height of 15 feet (as measured at the roof truss midpoint); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Root proposes to construct a detached garage in his front yard (150 feet from <br />the front property line to the front of the home) and to a height of 18 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the variance <br />request by Mr. Root and recommended (7-0) to approve the request, based on findings outlined in <br />Section 3 of the project report dated 7/11/01. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Douglas Root <br />a variance from Section 1004.01A7 (Location) and a three-foot variance from Section 1004.01AlO of <br />the Roseville City Code based on the findings in Section 3 of the project report dated 7/23/01. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />Klausing and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mastel, Mashka, Kysylyczyn, <br />Klausing, and Goedeke. <br /> <br />and the following voted against: none <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />1 <br />
