Police Civil Service Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Tuesday, February 11, 2014 1:00 pm <br />City Hall Elm Room, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Chairperson Brad VanderVegt, and Recording Secretary Zoe Jenkins <br />Others Present: <br />Lieutenant Erika Scheider <br />1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson VanderVegt at 1:20PM. <br />2. The Agenda for today's meeting was reviewed and approved as submitted. <br />3. The minutes of the June 28, 2013, meeting were reviewed and unanimously approved. <br />4. This meeting satisfies the requirement of an annual meeting of the Police Civil Service <br />Commission. <br />5. Lt. Scheider reviewed the Police Officer Eligibility list. The selection and <br />evaluation process has been completed. Six candidates qualified for the police <br />officer hire list. Lt. Scheider described the experience, education and skills of <br />each candidate. It was agreed they are an exceptional group. There are two <br />openings as the result of a retirement and lateral transfer. <br />6. The commission commended the department for its use of a selection process that <br />finds a talented group to serve in Roseville. The community should be very proud <br />of the careful and extensive selection process as well as the subsequent training <br />following the hiring of a candidate. <br />7. It was moved and seconded that the Roseville Police Officer Hire List, Spring 2014 <br />be certified. <br />8.
