"I haven't seen a <br />single application. I have no idea what <br />kinds of questions were asked during the <br />interview process, or what criteria was <br />used to make these recommendations." <br />Maschka also voted no for approval of <br />, the nominees. <br />Klausing had also asked the mayor, via <br /> <br />Jennifer Gansen <br />news editor <br /> <br />The Roseville City Council voted 3-2 at <br />their Sept. 23 meeting to accept Mayor <br />John Kysylyczyn's recommended appoint- <br />ments to the city's newly formed Housing <br />Redevelopment Authority. <br />According to city documents, the mayor <br />based. his selection on the following crite- <br />ria: <br />· Resume and/or interview responses <br />· Discussions with candidates <br />(recent and past) <br />· Desire to involve new citizens in <br />the process <br />· Desire to achieve represeptation from <br />all forms of housing <br />· Professional experience to guide <br />policy development <br />Minnesota state statute allows mayors to <br />make such recommendations to an HRA <br />board. 'City Council members can then <br />approve or deny those recommendations <br />prior to the nominees' appointments. <br /> <br />see H RA on Page 8 <br />
