The PUD had a Master Landscape Plan and the Olive Garden <br />site continues to be in compliance with the original required landscape plan. <br /> <br />No permits are necessary for the landscape plants and landscape maintenance you propose, <br />but you should check with the building inspection staff (Don Munson 651-415-2120) <br />regarding sidewalks and Accessibility Codes. <br /> <br />The proposal to improve and replace landscaping (faxed to City Planner Thomas Paschke on <br />9/09/03) is in compliance with the original master plan, in fact it improves upon the plan in some <br />areas. Many of the original plant materials have either overgrown the site or are past their prime <br />as landscape specimens. You propose the following: <br />1) All foundation plantings to be removed and replaced with similar. <br />2) Remove existing deciduous materials between breaks in arbor vitas and replant with <br />4' tall arbor vitae. <br />3)Trim all remaining/ existing arbor vitae to 4 foot height. <br />4) Remove sod to 2 foot setback from edge of arbor vitae, install weed retardant poly, <br />and mulch with rock. <br />5) Remove 10 existing 8" trees in southwest pOliion of site, outside of parking lot. (I <br />assume these to be purple leaf sand cherry or Crimson King maple or similar.) <br />6) Install paver stone pathways (172 s.f.) and circular patio (88 s.f.) <br />7) Install double sided retaining walls (20" height) near entry plaza <br />8) Cover previous sodded areas with paver stones (330 s.f. est.) <br />9) Install new concrete walle way in nOlihwest comer of entry area (84 s.f.) <br /> <br />2660 Civic Center Drive .:.
