<br /> <br /> ROSEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES FOR <br />December 5, 2017 6:30pm <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> Baggenstoss, Bole, Gelbach, Heikkila, Hoag, Newby, O’Brien, <br />Stoner, Warzecha <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />STAFF: <br /> Brokke, Christensen <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> INTRODUCTIONS <br />1) <br />Introduction of Joey Quick, a junior at Roseville Area High School (RAHS) who is interested <br />in potentially serving as a Youth Commissioner. He has been a citizen of Roseville for 15 <br />years and utilizes the park system. He looks forward to the potential opportunity to provide a <br />youth perspective to the Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT <br />2) <br />No public in attendance for the meeting. <br /> <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES – November 2, 2017 MEETING <br />3) <br />Commissioner Baggenstoss suggested that his recommendation for a Pollinator Garden be <br />included in both the 2134 Cleveland Avenue and 1716 Marion Street park plans. <br />Commissioner Heikkila moved to approve the November 2, 2017 meeting minutes with <br />amendment. Commissioner Newby seconds. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Discussion <br />4) <br />Staff introduced the 2017-2036 CIP that represents present day values, as there has been no <br />reflection of inflation. The CIP identifies all items that are significant in cost (approximately <br />greater than $5,000). Dollar amounts may be listed on the CIP that do not have money <br />specifically identified. The areas that the CIP covers are as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />General Facilities <br />Includes the Skating Center, Community Gyms and Gymnastic Center. The <br />Brimhall, Central Park School Community Gyms and Gymnastic Center are a <br />shared cost with School District 623. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation Vehicle and Equipment <br />Parks and Recreation does share vehicles and equipment with other departments. <br />The items identified in the CIP are used by the Parks and Recreation department <br />90% of the time. <br /> <br /> <br />
