EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 16th day of April 2018, at 6:00 <br /> p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe <br /> and the following members were absent: none. <br /> Member McGehee introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 11506 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP TO RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> OF A POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE WITHOUT CONSIDERATION <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Roseville acquired a 2010 Ford F550 Lenco BearCat vehicle, bearing <br /> Vehicle Identification Number 1FDAFHY7AEB3672 ("BearCat"), on July 7, 2010, pursuant to a <br /> grant under the Lenco GSA Contract GS-07F-0390M 1122 program ("grant");and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Roseville entered into a joint powers agreement ("JPA") with Ramsey <br /> County and other neighboring communities to form a Ramsey County-SWAT unit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the SWAT JPA permits Ramsey County to receive vehicles and equipment from <br /> member communities for SWAT use; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Roseville wishes to transfer ownership of the BearCat to Ramsey <br /> County for SWAT use pursuant to the JPA without receipt of payment or consideration;and <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes section 471.85 permits transfer of municipal personal property <br /> without consideration to another public entity when duly authorized by its governing body. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville hereby <br /> authorizes, by and through its Police Department, the transfer of ownership of its BearCat to <br /> Ramsey County without consideration. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Laliberte <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Willmus,Laliberte, Etten, <br /> McGehee and Roe and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
