<br /> ROSEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES FOR <br />, 2021 6:30 <br />PRESENT:Arneson, Baggenstoss, Boulton, Brown, Heikkila, Hoag, Ybarra <br />ABSENT:Carlson, Dahlstrom, Lenhart <br />STAFF: Brokke, Christensen, Johnson <br />1)I <br />NTRODUCTIONS <br />Chair Hoag introduced the meeting and noted that this month’s meeting was an in-person meeting <br />with a virtual option. The public was still encouraged to participate in the meeting using the Zoom <br />platform. Chair Hoag also relayed that as of August 5, all staff are required to wear facemasks at <br />City Hall and all guests are encouraged to as well. <br />Commissioner Lenhart and Vice-Chair Dahlstrom previously alerted staff that they will not be in <br />attendance of the August Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. <br />2)ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Roll Call Commissioners: Arneson, Baggenstoss, Boulton, Brown, Heikkila, Ybarra and <br />Hoag. <br />Chair Hoag called for public comment by members of the audience. No audience in <br />attendance. <br />3)APPROVAL OF MINUTES – JUNE 1, 2021 MEETING <br />Commissioner Heikkila moved to approve the minutes. Commissioner Arneson seconds. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Arneson, Baggenstoss, Boulton, Brown, Heikkila, Hoag, and Ybarra. <br />Nays: None. <br />Abstain: None. <br />4)PRESENTATION OF MINNESOTA RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCATION (MRPA) <br />AWARD OF EXCELLENCE <br />Staff introduced Tracy Peterson, Awards Committee head with the Minnesota Recreation and Parks <br />Association (MRPA) and Parks and Recreation Assistant Director for the City of Edina, MN who <br />was presenting on behalf of the MRPA. Peterson provided background on the MRPA and the <br />Awards Committee which oversees professional awards for individuals and the Award of Excellence <br />1 <br /> <br />
