<br />VI.L1AGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday March 1, 1955 at 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Carlson, Salverda, Willmus and Olson. B. H. Loftsgaarden, Attorney, and <br />Milner Carley, Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Willmus seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be <br />approved. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br />n <br /> <br />Mayor Olson read a letter from the Red Cross and then proclaimed the month <br />of March as RED CROSS MONTH. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Kirwan and 14r Getsug, who is with Paster Enterprises, asked if <br />anything had been decided about rezoning the l~O feet on Lexington Ave. just <br />south of Roma St. to commercial. In Sept. the Paster Enterprises had sub- <br />mitted an Abstract Certificate and requested the Council to use its powers <br />to rezone. It was decided to notify the property owners within 250 feet, <br />and set the dates for public hearings. Carlson moved, Olson seconded <br />that the matter be heard by the Zoning Board on April 4 at 7:30 P. H. and <br />the Public Hearing be held on April 5 at 2 P. H. Roll Ca.ll Ayes (4)-Naves Q <br /> <br />A group of boys and girls from Wilson High School attended this Council <br />meeting to watch a local government in action. <br /> <br />John Cincotta, appearing for his brother Frank, asked if the Council <br />would accept a 30 foot road for a distance of about 100 feet south from <br />S. McCarrons Blvd. which would give them an opening to their property which <br />they plan to plat. Ca.rlson moved, seconded by Willmus that Frank Cmncotta <br />be allowed to construct a 30 feot road subject to him trying to obtain the <br />additional 30 feet to make it a full width road. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes O. <br /> <br />Mrs. Vera Anderson of 2747 l1errill appeared before the Council ~ tell- <br />ing them about a bad dog situation in her neighborhood. Mayor Olson said <br />there would be a special meeting on the subject at a later date. <br /> <br />Mr. Lee, owner of property on Lydia and Snelling, asked for the Councils <br />permission to put up a building on the S. W. corner of that intersection. <br />He said it would be of the same structural design as the Notel next to it. <br />They will display and sell stone products and possibly lawn furniture. <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson that the pennit be granted. Roll Call <br />Ayes (4)_lJayes (0). <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson that 11ilton Bahnemann Jr. and Robert <br />Schwartz be put on the extra list for the road crew. Roll Call Ayes (4)- <br />Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Olson moved, Carlson seconded that the proposed Rosedale Plat be referred <br />to }~. Carley, Village Engineer, for study. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />There was some discussion about raising the minimum of square footage for <br />homes required in the ïjuilding Code. The minimum now is 768 Sq.
