EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING

<br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE
<br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
<br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 10th day of July 2023, at
<br /> 6:00 p.m.
<br /> The following members were present; Etten, Schroeder, Groff, and Roe; and the following
<br /> were absent: Strahan.
<br /> Member Groff introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION No. 12004
<br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
<br /> FOR 2023 DRAINGAGE IMPROVMENT PROJECT
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans
<br /> and specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were
<br /> received on Thursday June 26, 2023, at 11:00a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and
<br /> the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

<br /> Forest Lake Contracting $624,595.00 $800,000.00 $750,000.00 $1,424,595.00
<br /> Engineers Estimate $350,745.00 $94,054.50 $196,507.00 $444,799.50
<br /> WHEREAS,it appears that Bituminous Roadways, Inc.,is the lowest responsible bidder for the
<br /> Base Bid plus Alternate 1 Bid at the tabulated price of$486,308.50.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville,
<br /> Minnesota:
<br /> 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
<br /> with Bituminous Roadways, Inc. for $486,308.50 in the name of the City of Roseville
<br /> for the above improvements according to the plans and specifications thereof heretofore
<br /> approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Manager.
<br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
<br /> the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the
<br /> next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed.
