EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 21' day of August, 2023, at 6:00 <br /> p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Groff, Etten, Strahan, Schroeder, and Roe; and the <br /> following members were absent:None. <br /> Member Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12016 <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE ROSEVILLE POLICE <br /> FOUNDATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO SMALLER UNMANNED <br /> AERIAL SYSTEMS (DRONES) AND ACCESSORIES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is generally authorized to accept donations of real and <br /> personal property for the benefit of its residents pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03; <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Foundation has offered to donate to the City funds in <br /> the amount of$4,684.78 for the purchase of two smaller unmanned aerial systems (drones) and <br /> accessories as part of the Roseville Police Department's drone program. Drones have become <br /> valuable tools, providing airborne support to police operations in a safe, responsible, and <br /> transparent manner to preserve the peace, reduce response times, and increase the quality of life <br /> in the city of Roseville; <br /> WHEREAS,the above-referenced donation has no further conditions on its acceptance; <br /> WHEREAS,the donation is contributed to the City for the benefit of its residents; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation offered. <br /> NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council, on behalf of the City <br /> of Roseville, Minnesota,hereby accepts the gift of the donation described herein. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Etten, <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Groff, Etten, Strahan, <br /> Schroeder, and Roe; and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
