EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 9th day of October, 2023, at 6:00 <br /> p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe; and the <br /> following members were absent: None. <br /> Member Strahan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12024 <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE ROSEVILLE POLICE <br /> FOUNDATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A COVERT CAMERA AND <br /> ACCESSORIES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is generally authorized to accept donations of real and <br /> personal property for the benefit of its residents pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03; <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Foundation has offered to donate to the City funds in <br /> the amount of $6,690.00 for the purchase of a covert camera and accessories as part of the <br /> Roseville Police Department's human trafficking investigations initiative. Covert camera <br /> systems have become valuable tools, providing enhanced investigative support to police <br /> operations to help solve crimes and improve the quality of life in the city of Roseville; <br /> WHEREAS, the above-referenced donation has no further conditions on its acceptance; <br /> WHEREAS, the donation is contributed to the City for the benefit of its residents; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation offered. <br /> NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council, on behalf of the City <br /> of Roseville, Minnesota,hereby accepts the gift of the donation described herein. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br /> Etten, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Etten, Schroeder, <br /> Groff, Strahan, and Roe; and the following voted against the same: <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
