<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, February 20, 1961. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Grauel and <br />Shields. Absent: Trustee Goodrich. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved~ Shields Seconded, that the minutes of February 13, <br />1967, be approved as amended. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />On Page 3, under Fire Station No.2, it should read: <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the public hearing on Storm Sewer Improvement <br />65-38 Amended. <br /> <br />The Village Manager presented an affidavit showing publication of <br />notice of hearing on proposed Storm Sewer Improvement No. 65-38, as <br />amended, in accordance with the resolution adopted January 23, 1961, <br />which affidavit was examined and found to be satisfactory and was <br />directed to be filed by the Village Manager. The Village Manager also <br />exhibited a Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected <br />property owners, which certificate was examined and found to be <br />satisfactory and was directed to be filed by the Manager. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the description of the <br />general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement and <br />the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the published <br />notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all persons present <br />were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses of <br />the persons appearing and heard by the Council, and the substance of <br />the views presented by them, were as follows: <br /> <br />MR. ROBERT JACKSON, 2395 West County Road C-2: If this is a county <br />project and a community-wide project, he wanted to know why just certain <br />persons are being assessed. <br /> <br />MR. JAMES THERRES, 2275 W. Highway 36: Asked about the amount of his <br />assessment. <br /> <br />MR. JOSPEH DUDLEY, Attorney at Law, First National Bank Building, <br />St. Paul, Minnesota, representing Murphy Motor Freight Lines: Highly <br />in favor of the project. <br /> <br />MR. JOHN JENSON, representing Minnesota Transfer Railway Company: In <br />favor of the improvement, but objects to a portion of the assessment. <br /> <br />MR. CLARENCE J. COULTER, 674 W. County Road C: (owns property at <br />St. Croix Street and Highway 36). In favor of the improvement. <br /> <br />MR. DOUG COY, representing Rentco Division of Fruehauf, 2700 North <br />Cleveland: In favor of the improvement. Asked if anything was going <br />to be done to allow the pond at the Freeway exit and Cleveland, directly <br />opposite their facility, run off more rapidly than it does. Wanted to <br />know if the ditch in the improvement would affect the pond.
