<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the City Council- February 9, 1998 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following members present: Goedeke, ROLL CALL <br />Mastel, Maschka, and Wall. Members absent: Wiski. <br /> <br />Wall moved, Maschka seconded, that Item G-l, RECOGNITIONS, be moved to A-I, AGENDA <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, CHANGE <br />Mastel, Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />A-I <br /> <br />B. <br />B-1 <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />C-l <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />(Formerly G-l) <br />Fire Chief Dick Forliti introduced Jim Schneider to the City Council. Jim is <br />a Volunteer Firefighter who has 18 years of service with the Roseville Fire <br />Department, and recently was named Minnesota Trucking Association's 1998 <br />Driver of the Year. Jim has been a truck driver for 30 years and driven 2-1/2 <br />million miles without an accident. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mastel moved, Maschka seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />January 26, 1998, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, and Wall. <br />Nays: None. Abstain: Goedeke, because he was not present at that meeting. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the Consent Agenda, Items C-2 <br />through C-4, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, Mastel, Maschka, and <br />Wall. Nays: None. <br /> <br />This item was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Mastel moved, Goedeke seconded, that the agenda be changed to present a <br />proclamation at this time. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, Mastel, Maschka, and <br />Wall. Nays: None. <br /> <br />A proclamation proclaiming Saturday, February 21, 1998, as earni Phillippi <br />HOMETOWN DAY in the City of Roseville was read by Barb Mastel and <br />presented to Cami Phillippi, a Roseville gymnast attending the University of <br />Minnesota. HOMETOWN DAYS is a salute to Minnesota's finest student <br />athletes. <br /> <br />C-2 <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the City Manager's salary be <br />increased to $95,000, retroactive to January, 1998, for service during the years <br />of 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, Mastel, <br />Maschka, and Wall.
