<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 28th day of October, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thomas, Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Thomas introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8721 <br /> <br />RAMSEY COUNTY LIBRARY LOCATED IN ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County operates a system of libraries throughout the <br />suburban area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Library in Roseville will be renovated and <br />enlarged beginning in the Summer of 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Library will possibly be closed for up to <br />eighteen months; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Roseville is <br />with 525,000 visits in <br />Lauderdale, Maplewood, <br />Paul; and <br /> <br />the third busiest public library in Minnesota, <br />one year, and serves Roseville, Falcon Heights, <br />Little Canada, Shoreview, and parts of st. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Library Board is seeking participation from residents in <br />the process of determining what the new library should include and <br />what plans should be made for when the library is closed during con- <br />struction; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville city Council <br />supports the Ramsey County Library Board in their efforts to include <br />the residents in discussions about what the new library should include <br />and what plans should be made for when the library is closed during <br />construction. The Council encourages Roseville and neighboring com- <br />munity residents to participate in that process. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Johnson, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
