<br />City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1312 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING <br />TITLE ONE, SECTION 103.015 <br />CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION REPORTING <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: Title One, Section 103.015 of the Roseville City Code is added as follows: <br /> <br />103.015: CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION REPORTING <br /> <br />A. A candidate for election to a City office must file a report with the City Clerk that <br />includes the name of the candidate, the name and address of the person responsible for <br />filing the report; and: <br />1. States the name, address and employer, or occupation if self-employed, of any <br />individual, and the name and address of any committee or organization, which <br />within the previous one year period has made one or more contributions that in the <br />aggregate are greater than $50, and the amount and date of each contribution; or <br />2. States that within the previous one year period no individual, committee, or <br />organization has made one or more contributions that in the aggregate are greater <br />than $50. <br /> <br />B. The report required under this section must be filed: <br /> <br />1. Ten days before a primary, general, or special election; and <br />2. Thirty days after a general or special election, regardless of whether the candidate <br />won or lost in the primary election. <br /> <br />C. A candidate that intentionally fails to file the report as required in this section is guilty <br />of a misdemeanor. When a candidate fails to file the report by the day it is due, the City <br />Clerk shall immediately notify that candidate of the failure to file. Ifthe report is not <br />filed within five business days of the date the notice is mailed, the City Clerk shall <br />immediately notify the City Attorney of the alleged violation of this section. <br /> <br />D. For the purposes of this section, the term "contribution" has the meaning given it in the <br />state statutes constituting the Minnesota Election Law. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br />publication, except that no candidate need to substantially report contributions received prior to <br />or that predate the enactment date of this Ordinance. <br />
