<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1019 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 237.020 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF ROSEVILLE AUTHORIZING COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICERS AND RESERVE <br />POLICE OFFICERS TO ISSUE CITATIONS FOR CODE VIOLATIONS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 237.020 of the City Code is amended to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Issuance of Ordinance Violations Summonses. The <br />persons hereafter named, as employees or agents of the <br />City of Roseville, shall have power to issues summonses <br />with complaints incorporated therein (citations), in <br />the form adopted by rule of the Municipal Court, but <br />such issuance by those named shall relate only to <br />offenses involving the City Code; building <br />construction, operation, or maintenance; fire and fire <br />prevention; public health and sanitation; and zoning. <br />No such employee or agent hereinafter authorized to <br />issue said summonses shall be authorized to arrest or <br />otherwise take a violator into custody or to secure a <br />promise to appear in court in lieu of arrest. Those <br />authorized are, as follows: <br /> <br />Fire Marshal and Assistant Fire Marshals <br />Director of Public Works <br />Chief Code Enforcement Officer <br />Building Inspector <br />Plumbing Inspector <br />Electrical Inspector <br />Reserve Police Officers <br />Community Service Officers <br /> <br />Other employees or agents of the City of Roseville <br />specifically designated in writing by the City Manager <br />shall also have such authority. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> <br />after its passage and publication. <br />
