<br />304 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 204 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF MOTOR TRUCK AJJD WAGON <br />SCALES AND THE REGISTRATION OF WEIGHTS. <br /> <br />The Village Council of rtoseville ordains as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />That the weighing and measuring of all kinds of goods and <br />iOmmodities is hereby regulated as hereinafter provided by the <br />registration of motor truck and wagon scales and the registeration <br />of weighers. <br /> <br />SECTION 11 <br /> <br />Any person owning and maintaining a motor truck or wagon scale <br />in the Village of Roseville and desiring to have same classified as <br />a registered scale sijall make application to the Village Council by <br />filing the same with the Village Clerk and give the location of the <br />scale and designate some person to act as registered weigher at <br />such scale. If the Council considers such application favorably <br />it shall order the Village Clerk to issue a certificate designating <br />such scale as a registered scale, and also desighating the person <br />as a registered weigher at the scale. <br /> <br />Any person desiring designation as a registered weigher shall <br />make proper application to the Village Council and file the same <br />with the Village Clerk stating his name and business address. If the <br />Council considers the application favorably it shall order the Clerk <br />to issue a certificate designating the person as a registered weigher. <br />A fee of Two ($2.00) dollars shall be collected by the Village ~lerk <br />for each such certificate issued; such fees shall be paid into the <br />Village Treasury. Each certificate shall be issued for a term <br />of two (2) years and the registration may be renewed from time to time <br />for a like period upon payment of the fee aforesaid. <br /> <br />SECTION III <br /> <br />The Council may cancell any certificate issued hereunder whenj <br />in its judgment, any scale is not maintained in a serviceable <br />condition or when any registered weigher proves incompetent or <br />dishonest. <br /> <br />SECTION IV <br /> <br />Any person in the Village of hoseville shall be entitled to <br />have any goods or commodities weighed upon aqy registered scale <br />during the usual business hours upon the payment to the regist~red <br />weigher in charge thereof of the fee not exceeding the following <br />amounts: <br />Gross weight ~ to three thousand (3,000) pounds per <br />load. Gross weight over three thousand (3,000) pounds and up <br />to twenty thousand (20,000) pounds per load. Gross weight <br />over twenty thousand (20,000) pounds per load. <br />
