<br />ORDINANCE NO. 720 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BASIS FOR OVERTIME <br />PAY AND AMENDING SECTION 253.040 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does here- <br /> <br />by ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Section 253.040 of the City Code of theCity of <br /> <br />Roseville lS hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />253.040. Overtime Pay. Overtime work is <br />work in addition to the established schedule of <br />hours of work and shall be performed only with <br />the approval of the employee's supervisor or <br />manager. Employees will be paid at a rate of <br />time and one-half for all hours worked in ex- <br />cess of their established schedule, provided, <br />however, in lieu of such overtime rate, the em- <br />ployee may be granted time off at the rate of <br />one and one-half hours for each hour worked in <br />excess of the established schedule of hours of <br />work, except for employees employed under an <br />agreement meeting the requirements of Section <br />7(b) (2) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of <br />1938, as amended, the provisions of such agree- <br />ment shall be controlling. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br /> <br />and after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> <br />Minnesota, this 11th day of <br /> <br />February <br /> <br />, 1974. <br /> <br />~ <br />A TTE . .--=T-' <br /> <br />, ./d~~dII <br /> <br />Manager <br /> <br />Mayor <br />
