<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the city <br />Hall in said City on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of May, 1992, at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: P. Johnson, Thomas, Maschka, <br />Cushman, and V. Johnson and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilperson Cushman introduced and moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8804 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY <br />REPORT FOR RAILROAD CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS, <br />TERMINAL ROAD EAST OF WALNUT STREET, M-92-20 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the needs for improved railroad <br />crossings on County Road C-2 and Terminal Road in the city of Roseville <br />and has previously considered action regarding said railroad crossing <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is not feasible to finance the cost of railroad crossing <br />improvements on Terminal Road east of Walnut using normal Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the two railroad crossings serving <br />the Winz warehouse complex and Boise Cascade by installing a rubberized <br />railroad crossing and appurtenant facilities and to assess benefited <br />property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 429.011 to 429.111; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Based on staff recommendation, the council directs that railroad <br />crossing improvements on Terminal Road east of Walnut be included <br />in the 1992 construction program. <br /> <br />2. The proposed improvements are referred to the City Public Works <br />Director for study, and he is instructed to report to the Council <br />with all convenient speed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilperson Maschka and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: P. Johnson, Thomas, Maschka, Cushman, <br />and V. Johnson and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
