Special Meeting - Roseville Planning Commission
Wednesday, July 14, 1968 - 7:30 P.M.

Members present:
Members absent:
Also present:

Membrez, Carpenter, Edlund, Pope, Remsburg and Demos
Anderson
Dahlgren, Turnlund, Bell, Moll, Curley, Grauel, Linebarger
and Shields

A joint meeting was held with the Council for the purpose of discussing
procedure and guidelines of the "701" program.

With the recomrrendation that 75.32 acres be transferred from "L" to "HII
density and 75.81 acres from "L" to IIN" density, it seemed to be the con-
sensus of the entire group that the areas for high density were fairly
obvious but that it was the areas ear-marked for mixed development that pre-
sented the problems.

(Council members, Turnlund and. Bell departed at 8:55 P.M.)

Areas marked IIN" and "H" were then discussed individually by the Planning
Commission along with the Park Plan.

There are presently 494.62 acres in the Roseville Park System. Acreage
recommended for ac~isition, including that recommended for purchase by the
County, is 195.69 acres.

It was moved by Pope and seconded by Edlund that the Planning Commission
ask Mr. Dahlgren to prepare a map for the "Multiple Density Housing Plan" as
well as the IIPark Plan" as agreed upon by the Planning Commission. Roll
Call: Unanimous.

Areas presently zoned or recomnended for commercial use were also discussed
wi th seemingly general agreement. No vote was taken or recorded.

The matter of merely using the "701" map as a comprehensive guide plan, or
completing the action by rezonings of the affected areas, was discussed.
Consensus seemingly was to have thi. s decision made by the Council without
recommendation from this body. No vote taken or recorded.

Carpenter moved adjournment, seconded by Remsburg. Roll Call: Unanimous.
Meeting adjourned 9:45 P.M.
