<br />Roseville Planning Commission Meeting <br />Wednesday, November 6, 1985 <br /> <br />The November 6, 1985 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission <br />was called to order by Chairman Donn Wiski at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Members present: Berry, DeBenedet, Dressler, Johnson, Matson, Mueller, <br />and Wiski. <br /> <br />Members absent: None. <br /> <br />Staff present: Dahlgren, Drown, and Waldron. <br /> <br />Ex Officio Member: Mayor Demos. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Berry moved, Dressler seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of October 2, 1985, be approved. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Ayes: Berry, Johnson, Dressler, Matson, Mueller, <br />DeBenedet, and Wiski. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1608 <br />Roger Hess request for variance at 1911 Rice Street. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Mr. Dahlgren discussed the location of the project, and a number of <br />elements relating to the site itself. He pointed out that this <br />particular project was tabled from a previous meeting, as <br />additional information was required to make a sound decision <br />regarding the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren discussed the buildings that would be removed, and the <br />location of the new building. There was a problem on the northern part <br />of the parcel in that the City street runs right to the property line. <br />Also there is a problem with the sign that is painted on the wall, but <br />the sign has been there since 1946. <br /> <br />Mr. Drown pointed out that the City can move back the paved boulevard, <br />thus allowing sodding of the appropriate areas. In addition, the <br />City would be looking at installing an asphalt curb. <br /> <br />Mr. Hess discussed the problem of having the street run right along <br />his property line. He also discussed removing the sign and total <br />repainting of buildings on the parcel. <br />
