<br />Resolution No. .l:1.- <br /> <br />Adopted June 21, 1949 <br /> <br />"\{HEREAS, the Council of the Village of Roseville by resolution approved, <br />March 15th, 1949, authorized the issuance of ~~15,000.00 !par value of <br />bonds by the Village of Roseville for the purpose of obtaining cash to <br />purchase additional fire equipment for the fire Dept. of said Village; <br />RESOLVED, that said bonds in the amount of $15,000.00 in demominations of <br />$500 each dated February 15, 1949 shall forwith issue to bear interest at <br />the rate of 1.60% per annum payable semi-annually on August 15th and <br />February 15th in each year and to mature serially on February 15 in the <br />years and amounts as follows: <br />$3,000.00 in each of the years of 1951 to 1955. both inclusive; <br /> <br />R}~SOLVED, further, that the bonds shall be prepared under the direction <br />of the Village Clerk and the President and Clerk, together with the <br />Village Treasurer. are authorized and directed to sign said bonds and <br />to affix the Village Seal thereto and to cause the interest coupons to <br />be executed and authentecated by the written, printed, engraved of <br />lithographed facsimile signatures of said officers and said bonds when <br />fully executed shall be delivered by the Treasurer to the purchaser <br />thercof upon receipt of the purchase price and said <br />purchaser shall not be obliged to see to the proper application thereof; <br />RESOLVED, further that the Clerk and Treasurer are authorized and directed <br />to prepare and issue to the purchasers and to the attorneys approving <br />said issue. certified copies of all proceedings. and records relating thereto <br />and to the right, power and authority of the Village to issue the same and <br />said certified copies and certificates shall be deemed to be representations <br />of the Village as to all matters therein stated; <br />RESCLVED, that the full faith, credit and t;:,xing powers of the Village <br />shall be and the same are hereby and irrevocably pledged to the prompt and <br />full payment of the principal and interest of each and all of said bonds <br />as the same become due; <br />RESC'LVED, further, to provide monies for the payment of said principal and <br />interest, there is hereby levied upon all of the taxable property of the <br />Village a direct annual ad valorum tax which shall be spread upoJll the tax <br />rolls and collected with and as part of other general property tc~es in <br />said Village for the years and the amounts as follows: <br />lfear Amount of Levy <br />1949....................$3,300.00 <br />1950... ....... ........... .3,350.00 <br />1951.................... 3,400.00 <br />1952.................... 3,450.00 <br />1953.................... 3,500.00 <br />Said tax shall l:;e irreJpealabVe as long as any of said bonds are outstanding <br />and uppaid provided that the illage reserves the right and power to reduce <br />the levies"in the manner and to the extent permitted by Sect. 475.26, <br />Minnesota 0tatutes. <br />RES(JLVED, further, that the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file <br />a certified copy of this resolution with the County Auditor of Ramsey <br />County, together with such other information as he shall requi~, and to <br />obtain from said County Auditor a certificate that said bonds have been <br />entered on his bond register and that the tax requi~d by law for the pay- <br />ment of said bonds has been levi~d. <br />
