<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall <br />on Monday, the fifth day of April, 1993, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, P. Johnson, Cushman, <br />and V. Johnson and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 8914 <br /> <br />AWARD OF BID FOR CITY PROJECT M-92-23 <br />CONSTRUCTION OF ICE SYSTEM <br />JOHN ROSE MINNESOTA OVAL <br /> <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according <br />to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office of the <br />Manager of said City, said bids were received on March 25, 1993, opened <br />and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER <br /> <br />BASE BID <br /> <br />Shingobee <br />Cool Air <br />ECI/AIR <br />Gartner <br />Cy-Con <br />Bor-Son <br /> <br />$2,058,000 <br />$2,079,900 <br />$2,118,916 <br />$2,177,829 <br />$2,369,000 <br />$2,554,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Shingobee Builders, Inc. of Loretto, Minnesota is <br />the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $2,058,000 for the <br />base; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract with Shingobee Builders, Inc. for $2,058,000 in the name of <br />the City of Roseville for the above improvement according to the plans <br />and specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and <br />on file in the office of the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith <br />to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except the deposits <br />of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Councilmember Maschka and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: P. Johnson, Cushman, <br />Maschka, Thomas, and V. Johnson and the following voted against: None: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
