EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 21st day of April, 2008, <br />at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Ihlan, Roe, Pust and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: None <br />Member Ihlan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10623 <br />Prosecuting City Attorney Contract Change <br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to improve Code Enforcement procedures and results; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, City Council and staff have carefully reviewed the process involving the <br />issuance of Ramsey County Court Citations; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council believes it is in the best interest for the health and safety and <br />protection of property values to provide an expedited compliance of code <br />violations; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council believes staff should be empowered to act promptly on the <br />City's behalf in issuing court citations; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby approves <br />changing the current prosecuting attorney contract to eliminate Item <br />Number 18, which requires a public hearing prior to the prosecuting city <br />attorney acting upon a Ramsey County Court Citation issued by the <br />Community Development Department; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the original provisions contained in Item Number <br />18 of the prosecuting attorney's contract will be reinstated after November <br />1, 2008 unless the City Council takes action to permanently modify the <br />prosecuting attorney's contract. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Klausing, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Ihlan, Roe and Klausing <br />
