<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 11th day of October, 1993, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, P. Johnson, Goedeke, <br />Cushman, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9001 <br /> <br />RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATION AND <br />IMPLEMENTATION OF A TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT <br />BY THE ROSEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has continued to <br />promote efforts to reduce traffic accidents through the funding of <br />City enforcement efforts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has established <br />local traffic safety projects for the Federal Fiscal Year of 1993 to <br />1994 to achieve the above stated purpose, promoting law enforcement <br />and traffic safety; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Department is eligible to receive up to <br />$15,000 in reimbursement for participation beginning on the date the <br />contract is signed by the Commissioner of Finance on October 1, 1993, <br />and extending through September 30, 1994, to offset increased <br />personnel overtime cost for traffic enforcement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville Police Department <br />enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota Department of <br />Public Safety, for the following purpose: to reimburse the Roseville <br />Police Department for money spent for approved activities in <br />connection with local DWI, speed, and seat belt enforcement. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proj ect Director, the Chief of <br />Police, or designated representative of the Roseville Police <br />Department is hereby authorized to apply for and execute such <br />agreement and any amendment thereto. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Maschka, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, P. Johnson, Goedeke, <br />Cushman, and V. Johnson, and the following voted against the same: <br />None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
