Roll Call <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council regular meeting at approx- <br />imately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. (Voting and Seating Order for May: Pust; <br />Roe; lhlan; Johnson; and Klausing.) Mayor Klausing noted that Councilmember Pust <br />was running late and would be arriving shortly. City Attorney Mark Gaughan was also <br />present. <br />2. Approve Agenda <br />By consensus, the agenda was approved as amended to delay the Closed Executive Ses- <br />sion until the arrival of Councilmember Pust. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- <br />agenda items. No one spoke. <br />• 4. Council Communications, Reports, Announcements and Housin and Redevelo - <br />g P <br />went Authority (HRA) Report <br />Mayor Klausing announced there would be a free shredding day at City Hall on Saturday, <br />May 22 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to noon. <br />A Regional Human Rights Meeting which will focus on state and local government of <br />forts to enforce the MN Human Rights Act will be on Thursday, May 27 at 5:00 pm at the <br />Skating Center <br />Mayor Klausing recognized the Police Department receipt of 2010 Safety Award for the <br />metro area which was awarded 4/27 for outstanding traffic enforcement. <br />Mayor Klausing recognized RAMS student Kenzie Lutz has won 1st place in the state <br />Human Rights essay contest. <br />Mayor Klausing acknowledged success of the Karen Community forum on Saturday at <br />Roseville Lutheran Church with special appreciation to Acting Police Chief Mathwig, <br />Detective Won Chou, Fire Inspector Doug Johnson, Community Service Coordinator Sa- <br />rah Mahmud for organizing and participating in the event. <br />On behalf of the City of Roseville residents, staff and City Council, City Manager Mali- <br />• nen extended condolences to the family, co-workers, and friends of Maplewood Police <br />Sgt. Joe Bergeron who was killed in the line of duty, and offered thoughts and prayers. <br />
