Roll Call <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council regular meeting at approx- <br />imately 6:00 p.m. and welcomed everyone. (Voting and Seating Order for July: Roe; <br />Pust; Johnson; Ihlan; and Klausing). City Attorney Charles Bartholdi was also present. <br />2. Approve Agenda <br />By consensus, the agenda was approved as presented. <br />3. Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the audience on any non- <br />agenda items. No one spoke. <br />4. Council Communications, Reports, Announcements and Housing and Redevelop- <br />ment Authority (HRA) Report <br />Mayor Klausing announced the upcoming Green Community Awards Tour in the Cities <br />of Shoreview and Roseville, with on-site tours scheduled for July 31 and August 1, with <br />recognition of residents for stormwater management practices. To register for the tour or <br />for more information, see the City website at cityofroseville.com/greentour or call Tim <br />Pratt at 651/792-7027. <br />Mayor Klausing announced the next session of "Roseville University," for citizens to re- <br />ceive aninformational and educational seven-week series starting in September fora be- <br />hind-the-scenes look at local government and day-to-day operations. Mayor Klausing. <br />noted that there is no fee for the classes, but registration is required to keep class sizes <br />manageable; and enrollment is open until August 23, 2010 by logging onto the City's <br />website at cityofroseville.com/RU to enroll or for additional information, or by calling <br />792-7001. <br />Mayor Klausing congratulated Rep. Bev Scalze, representing the northeast portion of <br />Roseville, for her recent recognition by the League of MN Cities (LMC) as a "Legislator <br />of Distinction" for her role in sponsoring and participating in furthering numerous vital <br />issues of importance to local government. <br />Councilmember Roe reminded citizens of the earlier date for the Minnesota Primary <br />Election on Tuesday, August 10, with in-person absentee voting available now at City <br />Hall for those unavailable on August 10; or through contacting City Hall for a ballot by <br />mail. <br />5.
