<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD November 27. , 1972. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereot a regular <br />meeting of the village Council of the village of Rosevi11e, <br />Minnesota, was duly called and held at rbe Village Hall in <br />said Village on Monday, November 27 ,1972at 7:~O p.m. The following <br />members were present: <br />Acting Mayor Anderson, COllllcilmen Brennan, Curley and <br />Grauel <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Mayor Linebarger <br /> <br />Member Curley <br />and moved its adoption. <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5902 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Workmen's Compensation Law is set <br />forth in Minn. Stat. 1971, C.1767 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that Law was recently amended to alter the <br />definition "employee" in Minn. Stat. ~ 176.011, Subd. 9, in <br />its application to elected or appointed Municipal officials7 <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests <br />of the Village of Roseville and its elected or appointed <br />officials that the latter be subject to the Workmen's <br />Compensation Law, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the village Council of the village <br />of Rosevil1e hereby declares that the Mayor and members of <br />the Village Council for the Village of Roseville and their <br />elected or appointed successors shall be included in the <br />definition of "employee" as that term is used in Minn. Stat. <br />~176.0ll, Subd. 9, to determine the application of the Work- <br />men's Compensation Law in Minn. Stat. Chapter 176. This <br />Resolution is intended to comply with the procedure set forth <br />in Minn. Stat. ~176.0ll, Subd. 9 (5) for the qualification of <br />such elected or appointed officials as "employees". <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing <br />Resolution was duly seconded by Member Grauel , and <br />upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor of <br />the Resolution: <br /> <br />All present <br />
