EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD FEBRUARY 12, 1973 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Rosevi1le, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall on Monday, February 12, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Anderson, Brennan and Grauel and the following was absent: Councilman Curley Member Grauel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 5920 WHEREAS, Vocational Industrial Clubs of America is a national organization for young men and wamen enrolled in Vocational Industrial Education Programs; and WHEREAS, the goal of VICA is to help students with interest in the trades, industrial, technical and health fields became happy, mature and productive citizens, and WHEREAS, VICA programs Emphasize respect for the dignity of work, high standards in trade ethics, workmanship, scholarship and safety, and WHEREAS, VICA strives to develop each student's social and leadership abilities as well as his skills; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gale Linebarger, Mayor of the Village of Roseville hereby proclaim February 11 thru 17, 1973 as VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA WEEK in Roseville and urge all citizens to be aware of the good work done by those engaged in industrial and health education...work that betters the student and his community, state, nation and world. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Brennan and upon a vote being taken thereon, the follow:ing voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
