EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COlWCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD FEBRUARY 12, 1973 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall on Monday, February 12, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Brennan, Grauel and Anderson and the following were absent: Councilman Curley ~rember Grauel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 5921 WHEREAS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, is considering HE 63 relating to joint or cooperative excersise of powers by political subdivisions for agencies of the state; AND ~~REAS, Ramsey County is the only county in the state in which the Mayor of the particular city is automatically a member of the County Board of Commissioners, such situation calling into question the "arms length" nature of contracts entered into between the city and Ramsey County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that the Legislators from Ramsey County be encouraged to actively seek amendment to lIP 63 that will exclude Ramsey County on the provisions of the bill. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Anderson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
