<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD August 6, 1973 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall in said Village <br />on Monday, the 6th day of August, 1973, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Grauel, Anderson, Brennan and <br />Curley <br /> <br />and none were absent. <br /> <br />Councilman Brennan introduced and moved the adoption <br />of the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLlITION NO. 6012 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 1971, Section 413.02 <br />as amended by Laws~1973, Chapter 123, provides that effective <br />January 1, 1974, all Minnesota Villages for certain legal pur- <br />poses must be referred to as "Cities"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, utilizing the dual titles of Village and <br />City would be of no benefit to Roseville and would in fact only <br />lead to confusion; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Roseville, that effective January 1, 1974, the <br />Village of Roseville for all purposes and references will be <br />referred to as the "City of Roseville". <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Member Grauel and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted agains t: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed <br />and adopted. <br />
