<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD <br />JUNE 10, 1974 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall at 7: 30 P.M., Monday, Jl.me 10, <br />1974. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Curley, Demos, Hess and Brennan <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6111 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Twins have well represented the <br />State of Minnesota in winning two Divisional <br />Championships and one American League title, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Twins Organization has supplied this area <br />with entertainment and excitement for young and old <br />alike, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Twins have put the State of Minnesota on the <br />major league map, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Twins have proven to be a valuable economic <br />resource for our Metropolitan businesses, enter- <br />tainment resources for our states elderly, and an <br />overall conversational resource for sports fans <br />across the midwest; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, I, Gale Linebarger, Mayor of the City of Roseville, <br />do hereby proclaim June 21 - July 21, 1974, as <br />VICTORY MONTH, and while setting a goal of 67% <br />victories for the Twins during this period do encourage <br />all citizens to attend the games, and actively support <br />the Minnesota Twins during "Victory Month", and on to <br />the World Series. <br />
