EXTRACT OF MINlITES OF THE CIll' COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JUNE 10, 1974 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall at 7:30 P.M., Monday, June 24, 1974. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, COlmcilrnen Curley, Demos, Hess and Brennan and the following were absent: None Member Demos introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 6112 BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville Council adopt the following resolution as a statement of policy: Should a member of any Roseville Board, Commission or Committee choose not to seek reappointment, or should the Council determine that the member does not merit reappointment, or other vacancy exist, the Council shall publicly announce that they will accept appli- cations from all interested citizens. In making all appointments, council members shall keep in mind the need for women to serve in Roseville Government and make a serious attempt to increase their representation on its Boards, Commissions and Committees. In all such appointments, the most qualified person shall be appointed. Members of all Boards, Commissions and Committees shall serve a rnaximlUYl of two full consecutive four-year terms or three full consecutive three year terms. No member of any body shall serve on another body excepting in an ex-officio capacity. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Curley and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
