<br />EXTRACT OF MINlITES OF THE CIll' COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JUNE 10, 1974 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was <br />duly called and held at the City Hall at 7:30 P.M., Monday, <br />June 24, 1974. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />COlmcilrnen Curley, Demos, Hess and Brennan <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Demos introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6112 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville Council adopt the following <br />resolution as a statement of policy: <br /> <br />Should a member of any Roseville Board, Commission or Committee <br />choose not to seek reappointment, or should the Council determine <br />that the member does not merit reappointment, or other vacancy exist, <br />the Council shall publicly announce that they will accept appli- <br />cations from all interested citizens. <br /> <br />In making all appointments, council members shall keep in mind the <br />need for women to serve in Roseville Government and make a serious <br />attempt to increase their representation on its Boards, Commissions <br />and Committees. In all such appointments, the most qualified person <br />shall be appointed. <br /> <br />Members of all Boards, Commissions and Committees shall serve a rnaximlUYl <br />of two full consecutive four-year terms or three full consecutive three <br />year terms. <br /> <br />No member of any body shall serve on another body excepting in an <br />ex-officio capacity. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Member Curley and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
