<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City ofRoseville, <br />Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, July 24, 1995, at 5:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, P. Johnson, Wiski, Goedeke, and V. Johnson, and the <br />following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember P. Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9206 <br /> <br />LARPENTEUR AVENUE SPEED STUDY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County plans to reconstruct Larpenteur Avenue from T. H. 280 to Dale Street in <br />1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the right-of-way along Larpenteur Avenue through Roseville is limited; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, engineering standards require II-foot wide travel lane for speeds up to 35 mph and 12-foot <br />travel lanes for speeds greater than 35 mph; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the speed limit on Larpenteur Avenue between Oxford Street to Dale Street is 40 mph; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Larpenteur Avenue between Oxford Street to Dale Street is residential in nature similar to <br />the segment of Larpenteur Avenue from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue which has a posted speed <br />limit of35 mph; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City ofRoseville, Minnesota, that the <br />City ofRoseville requests that Ramsey County initiate a speed study for Larpenteur Avenue from <br />Oxford Street to Dale Street for the purpose of reducing the speed limit from 40 mph to 35 mph. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Goedeke <br />and upon roll call vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, P. Johnson, <br />Wiski, Goedeke, and V. Johnson and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
