In between 1255 and 1261 Nursery Hill <br />Lane, the City's storm sewer syste� discharges into Karth Lake. During final design, the <br />City wiIl evaluate alternatives to the existing storm sewer system that would result in an <br />improvement to the water quality in this area. <br />Water System Improvements: <br />The water system improvements include removing and replacing selected gate valves and <br />hydrants that are in poar condition. Since the Arden View neighborhood has experienced <br />a number of watermain breaks, the existing watermain system within ihe City's roadways <br />are proposed to be removed and replaced. Water system improvements in the Arden <br />View neighborhood will include all associated valves and hydrants near the roadway <br />areas. <br />Sanitar Sewer S stern Im roverrients: <br />The sanitary sewer system improvements are relativeIy minor and incl�de rnaintenance <br />on selected manholes. However, wiihin the 7anet Court cul-de-sac, City staff is proposing <br />that a segment of the existing sanitary sewer pipe be removed and repIaced to eliminate a <br />sagging pipe. <br />Financial Imnlications <br />The estimaied total project cost far the improvements is $1,703,740 which includes aIl <br />overhead costs. Consistent with the City's Assessment Policy, 37% overhead costs for the <br />street improvements has been included, which was used to calculate preliminary <br />assessment rates.
