City of Arden Hills Chapter 13 Zoning Code <br />C. Screening_ <br />(i} All mechanical equipr�nent, w�ether roof rnounted or ground- <br />mounted, shall be completely screened fram view of adjacent <br />properties and public streets, or designed to be co�npatib�e with the <br />architectural treatment of the principal building. Wood screening shall <br />not be permitted. <br />(ii) Trash and recycling equipment and rr�aterials shall be screened <br />fror� public view artd adjacent properties with an enclosure that is <br />constructed of the same rnaterials and co�ors as the principle bui3ding. <br />Waod fencing shall nat be pern�itted. <br />(iii) Loading docks shall be screened �rom pub;ic view or ir�tegrated <br />into the building's architecture so as to reduce their visuaI impact. <br />Subd. 7 Ligl�ting. Exterior ligl�ting shall be provided far the safety and conve�ience of <br />occupants anci �isitors. <br />A. A lighting plan sha�l be submitted that shows location, type of illumination <br />and design. A photorr�etric analysis of site and building shall be submitted %r <br />City approvai with all new construetion or redevelopme�t projects. <br />B. Exterior �ighting shall be consistent in type, design, scale, and color �o <br />create unity in the B-2 District_ High-pressure sodium lighting and other <br />simi�ar types of lighting color z�aay be rec�t�irect by the City to pronaote a <br />unified lighting color throughout the B-2 Distract. Other lighting colors may <br />be considered during the City review process. <br />C. The source of illumi�ation shall be hooded, concealed or controlled in a <br />manner so as not to Unnecessary glare on adjoini�g }ots, buildings, streets or <br />hig�ways. <br />D. Light washing of buildings and aceent lighting may be permitted t�u-o�gh <br />#he City re�ievr process provided that it does nat negatively impact residential <br />areas or traffic safety and is complementary to the district as a whole. <br />Subd. S Pec�estrian Circulation. All new develo�r�ent and redevelopment within the <br />Distz�ct shall install pedestrian z�cnprovements in accordance with the City ofArden Hills <br />Comprehensive Plan and any other supplementa.z�y s�dewalk or trai� plans. Other <br />pedestrian sidewalks and trails rnay be required by the City. <br />A.
