CITYOFARDENHILLS <br />COUNTYOFRAMSEY <br />STATEOFMINNESOTA <br />ANORDINANCETOPROVIDEFORTHEINSPECTIONOFPROPERTY <br />TODETERMINEILLEGALCONNECTIONSTOTHESANITARYSEWERSYSTEM, <br />TOPROVIDEFORCERTAINREIMBURSEMENTSTOPROPERTYOWNERSOF <br />EXPENSESRELATEDTOCOMPLIANCEWITHCONNECTIONREQUIREMENTS, <br />ANDTOPROVIDEASURCHARGEFOR <br />NON-COMPLIANCEWITHINSPECTIONANDCONNECTIONREQUIREMENTS <br />TheArdenHillsCityCouncilherebyordainsthatSection1010.10Subdivision8-11are <br />herebyaddedtotheArdenHillsCityCodetoreadasfollows: <br />Subdivision8.ProhibitedConnectionsofSurfaceWaterandGround <br />WaterDischargeFacilitiestotheCity'sSanitarySewerSystem. <br />A.Noperson,owner,lesseeoroccupantofanyparcelofland,building, <br />orpremisesshalldischarge,orpermittobedischarged,directlyor <br />indirectly,intothesanitarysewersystemanysurfacewateror <br />groundwaterincludingwaterfromroofs,yards,lawns,streets,alleys, <br />groundwatersumppumps,footingtile,orothernaturalprecipitation. <br />B.Asumppumpdischargesystemshallnotbeconnecteddirectlyor <br />indirectlytotheCity'ssanitarysewersystem.Asumppumpshallhavea <br />permanentlyinstalleddischargeline,whichprovidesforyear-round <br />dischargetoeithertheoutsideofabuildingorstructure,orisconnectedto <br />theCitystormsewer. <br />Thesystemshallconsistofadischargelinewithoutvalvingorquick <br />connectionsorflexiblesections,whichallowstheredirectionofthesump <br />pumpdischargeintothesanitarysewersystem.IfconnectedtoaCity <br />stormsewer,thesystemshallincludeacheckvalveandanairgap. <br />Everyperson,owner,lesseeoroccupantofanyparcelofland,buildingor <br />premisesthatdischargesintotheCity'ssanitarysewersystemshallallow <br />anemployeeofthecityoradesignatedrepresentativeoftheCityto <br /> <br />
