inspectthebuildingorpremisestoconfirmthatthebuildingorpremises <br />conformstotherequirementsofSubdivision8ofthissection. <br />InlieuoftheCityinspection,theowner,lesseeoroccupantmayfurnisha <br />certificatefromaCityregisteredStatelicensedplumbercertifyingthatthe <br />buildingorpremisesareincompliancewiththerequirementsof <br />Subdivision8.TheCitymayperiodicallyre-inspectanybuildingor <br />premisestodeterminecontinuedcompliancewiththerequirementsof <br />Subdivision8. <br />Subdivision10.RemovalofProhibitedConnections;Surcharge;City <br />Reimbursement <br />Anyperson,owner,lesseeoroccupant,andanyplumberorbuilding <br />contractorwhohaspresentlymadeorpermittedtobemade,orshallmake <br />orpermittobemade,anyconnectionorinstallationinviolationof <br />subdivision8,shallimmediatelyremovesuchconnectionorcorrectsuch <br />aninstallation.TheCitywillreimburse50%ofthecostofremovingor <br />correctinganillegalconnectiontobringthepropertyintocompliance,toa <br />maximumof$300.00. <br />Ifnotremovedorcorrectedwithinsixtycalendardaysafternoticeofthe <br />violationhasbeendeliveredpersonallyorbycertifiedmailtosuchperson, <br />owner,lesseeoroccupant,theCityshallimposeasurchargeintheamount <br />directedbytheCityCouncil.Suchasurchargeshallalsobeimposedupon <br />anypropertyowner,lessee,oroccupantwho,withinsixtydaysof <br />receivingnoticeoftheneedforaninspection,failstomakeorkeepa <br />scheduledappointmentfortheinspectionoftheirproperty,hasnot <br />allowedtheirpropertytobeinspected,orfailstoprovidethecertificate <br />fromaCityregisteredStatelicensedplumberasrequiredbySubdivision <br />Theowner,lessee,occupantofabuildingorpremisesfoundtobenotin <br />conformanceasrequiredinSubdivision8duringperiodicre-inspections <br />shallbesubjectedtoasurchargeasprovidedinSubdivision10,forall <br />monthsbetweenthetwomostrecentinspectionsoramaximumchargenot <br />toexceedtwelve(12)monthlysurcharges. <br />Surchargesforbuildingsorpremisesthatarenotinconformancewith <br />Subdivision8willbedeterminedbytheCityCouncil. <br /> <br />
