Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects:
How does the project fill a gap in a larger network, overcome a travel barrier or otherwise seize on a
significant opportunity in a bike/pedestrian network?
Does the project address an identified safety issue? Describe the safety issue, where it is identified, and
how the project will address it.
List significant travel attractors that the facility connects to including any transit routes. (Projects will be
evaluated on this answer as well as on the population density within one-mile of the project to determine
the potential use of the facility.) If a demand analysis for the facility has been conducted, you may
include it as additional information to help evaluate relative levels of demand.
All Other Project Types:
How does the project provide more than a local benefit?
How will the project benefit the experience of users of multiple modes of transportation (cars, bikes,
pedestrians, transit riders)?
What is the population density within one mile of the facility? (Applicants do not need to provide this
information; this will be calculated by Metropolitan Council staff using 2000 census data) If a demand
analysis for the facility has been conducted, you may include it as additional information to help
evaluate relative levels of demand.
03/19/2009
