CIP Discussion
3/27/2009
Page 2
• Construction Costs
• Partial Right-of-Way Taking
• Total Right-of-Way Taking
Environmental
• Parkland (4f/6f)
• Threatened and Endangered Species
• Environmentally Sensitive Areas
• Noise Impacts
• Air Quality
• Protected Waters
• Wetlands
• Contaminated Properties
Jim Tolaas will be Ramsey County's representative at the meeting Marc Goess of Mn/DOT, and
the City's consultant, Chris Chromy of Bolton & Menk, Inc., will also be present.
It is anticipated that the PMT will select a preferred alternative in the next few weeks. Ramsey
County will be attending the April 13, 2009, City Council meeting, requesting a motion of
support for the selected preferred alternative. Additional information will be provided to the
City Council once the preferred alternative is selected. This is not, nor does it replace, Municipal
Consent, which will be requested at a later date. This in an intermediate step the County is
taking with both Arden Hills and New Brighton in an effort to keep both communities actively
involved.
Copies of the alternatives are attached to this memo.
