� <br />EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: November 21, 2011 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />FROM: Rebecca Brazys, Deputy Clerl� <br />SUBJECT: 2012 Fee Schedule <br />Bacl�round <br />The City Council annually establishes a fee schedule for administrative, building <br />construction, liquor licensing, copying of maps and ordinances, park and recreation <br />facility usage, planning and zoning, utilities, business licenses, false alarms, utility fees, <br />and other miscellaneous permits and penalties that are enforced by the City. <br />Staff has reviewed oi�r fee schedule and recommended changes. Those changes are noted <br />in parenthesis and bold print in the 2012 Fee Schedule attached. A brief explanation of <br />the reason for the changes is provided below. <br />Recreation Fees <br />After Council review at their August 15, 2011 Work Session, the following fees were <br />added for 20.12: <br />- Youth Athletic Association Field Rental <br />- Adult/Club Intramural Field Rental <br />- In addition, based on discussions from the Work Session, the non-resident and <br />non-profit pavilion fees were increased. <br />Other minar changes include: <br />- The proposed change to the adult ball field rental for unlighted field use was made <br />because it was not set up correctly. When broken down hourly, it was incorrectly <br />set up to be at the sama rate as the lighted field rental (as most of the <br />spring/summer, only 2-3 games can be played without lights in the evening). <br />Staff adjusted the fee to correct this. <br />- Eliminated the trash container reference. Number of trash containers will be <br />based on attendance expected. <br />- Removed "Plus applicable tax" for the non-profit rental fees. This was included <br />in error. <br />
