Chair Straumann
pointed out a spelling error in the Elmer L. Andersen Memorial Trail item. Mr. Jenni indicated that the motion
regarding the 2008 State Bonding Request should include his original motion that the Commission opposes
inclusion of the Battle Creek Snowmaking System due to budget constraints and too few beneficiaries. The
new motion should read "Mr. Jenni moved, seconded by Mr. Huntrods, that the Parks and Recreation
Commission opposes inclusion of the Battle Creek Snowmaking System in the County's State
Bonding Request due to budget constraints and too few beneficiaries and further, that the Parks and
Recreation Commission recommends that it be given an opportunity to present input on state
bonding requests prior to their submittal to the State." It was moved by Ms. Pederson, seconded by
Mr. Jenni, that the minutes of the June 12,2007 meeting be approved as corrected. Motion carried.
2010-2013 REGIONAL PARK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Mr. Mack distributed copies of the 2008-2013 Metropolitan Regional Park CIP Agency Final Request Forms.
He noted that previously the Commission had recommended approval of the 2008 Capital Improvement
Program request totaling $1,606,000.
