Altendorfer stated that his strongest recommendation is for a Relief Deputy, explaining that there needs to be enough resources to address the on the street calls. He stated that he feels that the Group is on the "tipping edge". Sheriff Bostrom stated that if a deputy is added, he would hope that there will be less overtime, although he advised the Group not to use this as a budget strategy. Hanson stated that he would like to have the costing details for the following three options: 1) no additional FTE Relief Deputy; 2) one additional FTE Relief Deputy; 3) one additional FTE CSO for Crime Prevention (now paying for Y2 FTE). He stated that he wants to make sure that the Contract Group is providing the necessary support for Crime Prevention. Schwerm requested a separate document that gives the additional costs for the other options, and that provides each community's allocations. It was the Group's consensus that there should be an option that includes a full- year start (beginning in January), for an added deputy. The following consensus was made: one FTE @ the deputy rate, starting in January, and a FT Crime Prevention Clerical Staff. Sheriff Bostrom recommended that the position be charged out at a CSO rate, but that it be given a different title. OTHER REPORTS FROM SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT It was reported that there will be an Open House on May 31, 2012, from 4 p.m. — 7 p.m., at the Water Patrol Station, 5 South Owasso Boulevard, Little Canada.
