ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—APRIL 30, 2012 12 <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br /> donate discarded City Park Equipment from Valentine Park to Calvary <br /> Church in Roseville, Minnesota, contingent upon Calvary Church signing a <br /> waiver of liability. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated City Pages chose Flaherty Bowl as the best bowling in the metro <br /> area and Lindy's as the best steak house. She was encouraged by the recognition of these local <br /> businesses. <br /> Councilmember Werner indicated the Economic Development Commission would be meeting <br /> on May 2"d at 8:00 a.m. He encouraged those interested in serving on this committee to contact <br /> City Hall. <br /> Councilmember Tamble commented the Communication Committee sent out a recent <br /> newsletter. He added that work continues on the redesign of the City's website. <br /> Mayor Grant noted Allina has relocated to Arden Hills at Fire Station #1. This was causing <br /> concern as they were operating with lights and sirens in a residential area. He questioned if this <br /> was allowed. He directed staff to follow up on this matter further. <br /> Mayor Grant thanked Public Works Director Maurer for his presentation this evening <br /> regarding the water main breaks on Old Highway 10. He appreciated the level of information <br /> provided to the Council. <br /> City Administrator Klaers noted there would be a Special City Council Work Session meeting <br /> on Monday, May 7th' at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Werner asked if staff had any information regarding the manhole covers. <br /> Public Works Director Maurer indicated the new manhole covers were susceptible to cars <br /> flipping them off because the sides were angled. City staff was seeking rubber rings to fill the <br /> gap. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Tamble seconded a motion to <br /> adjourn.
