Ramsey County-Wide Emergency Operations Plan Revision 5.I,June,2005 <br /> Important Reminders <br /> ✓ The Director of Emergency Management and Homeland <br /> Security initially designates the level of emergency in <br /> consultation with the local Incident Commander and <br /> communicates this to the County Manager. <br /> ✓ The County Manager may modify this designation as <br /> appropriate. <br /> ✓ An incident's assigned level may change as emergency <br /> conditions ease or intensify. <br /> ✓ The affected community(s) remains in operational control of <br /> their respective jurisdiction. Our resources will work under <br /> Unified Command and remain under county command. <br /> OVERALL COMPOSITION <br /> Ramsey County: During a declared Countywide State of Emergency, <br /> Ramsey County's overall emergency organization will be comprised of all <br /> officers and employees of the county, volunteer forces registered to aid <br /> the county, and all groups, organizations and persons who may by <br /> agreement or operation of law be charged with duties incident to the <br /> protection of life and/or property in Ramsey County during such <br /> emergency. <br /> The Ramsey County Division of Emergency Management and Homeland <br /> Security (EMHS) will exercise this emergency management organization in <br /> whole or in part at least once each year. <br /> Municipalities: During a locally declared State of Emergency, the <br /> affected municipality's overall emergency organization will be comprised <br /> of all officers and employees of the municipality, volunteer forces <br /> registered to aid the municipality, and all groups, organizations and <br /> persons who may by agreement or operation of law be charged with <br /> duties incident to the protection of life and/or property in the affected <br /> municipality during such emergency. <br /> The municipal Emergency Management Director will participate in <br /> exercises of this emergency management organization in whole or in part <br /> at least once each year. <br /> 23 <br />
