Ramsey County-Wide Emergency Operations Plan Revision 5.1,June, 2005 <br /> EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (EMC) <br /> The EMC is intended to provide review of countywide planning efforts in <br /> order to ensure and require unity of purpose. This includes conducting <br /> reviews of, and recommending to the Board of Commissioners approval of <br /> the county Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) as developed by the <br /> Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and such <br /> other emergency preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation plans <br /> developed by EMHS. <br /> Further, the EMC is charged with reviewing county resolutions and codes <br /> affecting emergency management issues and recommending changes as <br /> needed. The Ramsey County Emergency Management Council (EMC) <br /> consists of the following: <br /> • The County Manager, who shall be chair <br /> • The Ramsey County Sheriff <br /> • The Ramsey County Attorney <br /> • The Director of Emergency Management and Homeland <br /> Security <br /> • The Director of the St. Paul/Ramsey County Department of --� <br /> Public Health <br /> • The Director of Public Works <br /> • The Director of Property Management <br /> • One Ramsey County-based community emergency <br /> management director, chosen by the county's emergency <br /> managers (chosen for one year, every year) <br /> • One representative chosen by the Ramsey County Fire Chiefs' <br /> Association <br /> • One representative chosen by the Ramsey County Police <br /> Chiefs' Association <br /> The following shall be ex-officio members of the council and shall be without <br /> vote: <br /> • Director of Human Resources <br /> • The Director of Community Human Services <br /> • The Ramsey County Medical Examiner <br /> • Public Information Officer <br /> • The Director of Community Corrections <br /> 24 <br />
